A nod to Kierkegaard and Walker Percy: existentialist tomfoolery, political satire, literary homage, word mongering, a year-round summer reading club, Dylanesque music bits, apocalyptic marianism, poetry, fiction, meta-porn, a prisoner work-release program.

And how, pray tell, did you find this picture?
And should we make another go at the Possessed? I got scared off by that PhD who upbraided me for the Garnett translation. Or maybe we should work with Notes from the Underground?
Don’t you recognize Henri’s man cave?
I’d be willing to take another stab at The Possessed.
Mrangelmeg says I can participate so long as I don’t have to adhere to the dress code in the picture above.
I’d be game for Girard’s Violence and the Sacred too. I’m also still befuddled over the Dostoevsky translation problem. I think in the future I will only read Garnett translations. I don’t care whether PhD students laugh at her or me. They can go ебать themselves. Angelmeg, what do you think we should read?
I will leave the choice of reading material to you all. I am having way too much fun reading through my pile of books I stored up while I was slogging through Gradual School. I will read whatever you decide, so long as I can obtain a copy on the free market. (meaning don’t make me have to go to http://www.philosophyprofessorswiddows.com to find the book). I also am barely literate in english, so please take that into consideration.
I am assuming that this means I get to keep my clothes on to participate. That will make mrangelmeg happy.
The Korrektiv Summer Reading Klub is “clothing optional”.
