New favorite Gospel (from today’s Mass readings):
Jesus came with his disciples into the house. Again the crowd gathered, making it impossible for them even to eat. When his relatives heard of this they set out to seize him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”
I get that a lot. The last part, I mean, which I will now interpret as “Christ-like”.

I like what follows even better, when Peter defends his sobriety by noting it is only 9 in the morning. Which I quickly point out to undergrads proves that even in ancient Israel, there’s a happy hour and before lunch ain’t it.
But for Jesus’ relatives, the real cause for concern was that he was unable to eat a decent meal.
