This Letter to You

A nod to Kierkegaard and Walker Percy: existentialist tomfoolery, political satire, literary homage, word mongering, a year-round summer reading club, Dylanesque music bits, apocalyptic marianism, poetry, fiction, meta-porn, a prisoner work-release program.

Maybe I will say
Maybe I will say
Maybe I will say …
But probably not.
That was a beaut, Mr. McCain.
Thanks for it!
JOB
Thanks Mr. JOB. Much o-bliged.
This is pleasant but a catholic priest came close to punching me in the face today.
He must not have known about your black belt.
I was being serious. I stopped a priest in the street and said I was a microscope/disease denier after establishing which church he was from and he walked on and I walked after him and tried to get him to discuss it and he started to raise his fist and then stopped. I don’t usually walk after people if they don’t want to listen or don’t respond but I do if they are from the church. Afterwards I shouted something out after him – information rather than abuse – and he looked more pleasantly back. This was the closest anyone has come to being physically aggressive about it.
Was he one of these guys?
Great song.
Thank you.
