    • Angelico Nguyen, Esq., OP says:

      ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?

    • Cuique sum…
I wished my french text had been about the Napoleonic wars instead of “the ball is on the table. le chat est sous le table.”
Sed… if I were teaching Latin at an age lower than high school, that text looks pretty neat.

      • Oh, I don’t know mei pueri were pretty excited about corpora militum in fluminibus.

It’s been so long since I taught Latin I don’t remember anything, but since my daughter is teaching at Highlands Latin School it must have been worth it.

      • Paul,

It was inevitable then that I should direct you here:

        • Hahahae!
Only last week some of the guys at work were talking about him.
(I think I’m gonna try out using the Latinization of hahaha in my online communications…)

    • Copious exercises, Father Henle has.

I will never fault a Latinist for that.

  4. Oh, I love Henle. It’s just that it never had anything as interesting as a boy punching his sister in the ear.

When my daughter and I finally reached the end of the first book, which is Jesus before Pilate, it just happened that we were going to see “Passion of the Christ” that night, which worked out excellently.
