    I snickered at first, but give the Demiurge its due: The poster’s reference to the ‘Historical, Cosmic[,] & the Personal Nativity of the Heart’ *might* not be hopelessly removed from the respective Literal, Anagogical, and Moral senses of Scripture.

    And speaking of alchemy, does anybody want to help develop this medieval TV series concept I cooked up? It’s about Albert the Great learning that he’s terminally ill, even as the Dominican Order is on the brink of financial collapse. In order to save the Order — or perhaps for motivations that turn out to be less clear-cut — Albert begins secretly producing gold by alchemy, with the enforced assistance of his erstwhile student, Thomas Aquinas.
