Today in Catholic fiction

While the rest of us sit and dither, Gene Luen Yang is out there getting himself nominated (again) for a National Book Award and explaining himself in The New Yorker.

  1. That’s a great piece in the New Yorker. Seems like great introduction to the Boxer Rebellion.

  2. Jonathan Webb says

    Looks great for homeschooling. Thanks.

  3. Angelico Nguyen, Esq., OP says

    Interesting times.

  4. James Harris says

I currently live in China. I think this work could inspire more Chinese people to become Catholic. The number is growing over here. These works look great.

    • Angelico Nguyen, Esq., OP says

Great to hear from the Middle Kingdom! If Boxers & Saints is published in China, I’d be very interested to know the range of reactions to it — especially in its treatment of nationalism in general, and Qin Shi Huang in particular.

Thanks very much for stopping by, Mr Harris. Welcome to Korrektiv.
