Just think what these parents would have gotten away with then!
Just think what these parents would have gotten away with then!
A nod to Kierkegaard and Walker Percy: existentialist tomfoolery, political satire, literary homage, word mongering, a year-round summer reading club, Dylanesque music bits, apocalyptic marianism, poetry, fiction, meta-porn, a prisoner work-release program.

Everyone looks Aryan enough, what’s the bother?
I guess a homeschool family from Germany fled to the U.S. and were granted asylum by a federal judge. I guess the Obama administration has been fighting it.
Of course, nothing like that could happen here. The inherent goodness of the American people will prevent it.
Thanks JOB.
Come to think of it, the dad might be a Jew. Or, as we like to call them, Neo-cons.
That sounded nasty. I meant that a lot of anti neo-con talk might be veiled anti-Semitism.
I’m offending everyone tonight.
Anything you’re unhappy with, you could have changed.
And why all this anti German stuff?
Are you trying to remind me of the Goalkeeper’s Fear of the Penalty? I’m half German, in a sense; I doubt you are.
Sorry, I hadn’t known what the film was about, but just looked it up. It sounds nasty. I’d thought Wenders was sentimental but quite moral.
Please delete last two comments.
I’ve deleted them from my mind. Mad cow.
The parents were probably “extremists.” Note the transition from using the word “terrorist” to “extremist” when talking about enemies of the State. It won’t be long…
First they came for the terrorists….
That’s right, Ellen. Thanks.
