Transgression: my idea for a Tarantino-style exploitation pic

Nazi doctor, famed for his research and insight into anatomy (gleaned, of course, by doing horrible things to Jewish prisoners while they are still alive). Trouble is, he is a homosexual, which will not do for a proper Nazi. But the authorities find him too valuable to remove, so they restrict his contact/research to female prisoners. And lo and behold, he actually falls in love with one of them. And she – it seems – loves him in return. So what does our doctor do? He goes all Frankenstein on her, bending his talents and understanding of anatomy to the effort of making her into a him. A doomed romance, with something to offend everyone!

Expat, help! Rob Zombie has hacked Korrektiv and is posting under Lickona’s name.

He ends up working for the East German Olympic program.

  3. It’s a reverse Wachowski.

    • Which, coincidentally, was the most difficult move that the East German Olympic women’s gymnasts were ever required to perform.

  4. It’s an awesome idea. I’m guessing that you didn’t see Almodovar’s latest, The Skin I Live In? Which was an exploitation of the French thriller from the 1950s, Eyes Without A Face. Which itself was an exploitation of the 1980s Billy Idol song. Or something like that.

So have at it, I say … there is ample precedent!

  5. Idol is awesome.

I just saw Inglorious Basterds for the third or so time and I have to say that I really like that film. A lot of people think of Tarantino as being sensationalistic, but there a two or three very long scenes with quite a bit going on. For example, the opening scene at the French farmers house. Have you ever watched the milk the SS Officer was served by the daughter and how he was waiting for it to be pushed to him on the table. And then when the farmer poured him a second glass he pushed it to the officer. However, he was under duress in that moment. Also, what’s the deal with the big pipe the nazi pulls out of his pocket.

I think that actor may have won awards for that performance and he certainly deserved it.

The tavern scene was fascinating as well. I guess I’ll see the new one some time.

    Thanks Lickona.

  6. If you can tie the picture in with an American International motif, perhaps the nazi can be a German Fu Manchu you could have a sale. I’ll talk to Depp. How would you feel about the guy who directed Dark City? I don’t know if you are ready to put your name on a script. A Front might be in order, but seven figures would be in play.

    We’ll talk.

  7. Matthew, I know that Star Trek will require a major rework, but you don’t know what you’re asking. That’s even IF Johnny goes along. This is more Spring ’13 material.

Let me go on the record as a Spring ’13 green light with December Oscar mentions. I’ll go 115 Million and cut you .04 on the gross.

  8. Just heard from Johnny and he is out at this juncture. Now here is where I want you to be flexible, flexibility being a two-way street to the tune of .07 on the gross: Bardem as the nazi.

I know what you are thinking, he’s Spanish. The deal is that we’re getting crazy ES metrics from Skyfall and I thought we could strike while the iron is hot.

    Chew on it.
