I guess they don’t resort to throwing bricks through stained glass windows anymore…
A nod to Kierkegaard and Walker Percy: existentialist tomfoolery, political satire, literary homage, word mongering, a year-round summer reading club, Dylanesque music bits, apocalyptic marianism, poetry, fiction, meta-porn, a prisoner work-release program.

Not surprising, still upsetting. They were actually thwarted the last time they tried to do this:

The Vatican site needs an overhaul anyway. They should hire Convolare. It’s even got an Italian name!
You are too kind. I actually was rather impressed that they fended off an attack last year. I kept worrying that since their graphics were from 1997 that their web security was, as well.
‘I kept worrying that since their graphics were from 1997 that their web security was, as well.’
Ha! Me too!
Thanks JOB.
‘Today, Anonymous has decided to put your site under siege in response to your doctrine, liturgy and the absurd and anachronistic rules that your profit-making organization spreads around the world.’
Without context, this bit isn’t very helpful. I hope the full Italian text gives us some directions, or at least advice, about specific things we can do to bring our liturgy into compliance with their wishes. First question: Is it only the Roman Rite that offends them, or is their distaste for Catholic liturgy more catholic?
I don’t think the “tolerance for me” argument works here. Anonymous has never made claims to be tolerant. They are militant. They decide, and they act.
We are Anonymous. We do not face the congregation. We do not exchange a sign of peace. We do not hold hands for the Our Father.
I see Korrektiv as a sort of a miniature-scale bad-Catholic 4chan.
Ha! I wondered if you were actually going to link us into the maelstrom.
I did, as well. It actually made me gasp for a moment. MUST NOT INVITE RECRIMINATION.
Glad to have provided your thrill for the evening.
Don’t worry. I’m never gonna give you up (to the heathens).
Don’t click this link.
‘Look but don’t click. Click, but don’t headdesk. Headdesk but don’t LOL.’
Oh, I don’t know. I’ll bet if you invited Anonymous over to dinner and got enough wine in ’em, you’d find that soft spot in their hearts for puppies with ringworm, African babies with distended stomachs and childless lesbians…
