A nod to Kierkegaard and Walker Percy: existentialist tomfoolery, political satire, literary homage, word mongering, a year-round summer reading club, Dylanesque music bits, apocalyptic marianism, poetry, fiction, meta-porn, a prisoner work-release program.

Sousa. Isn’t he a philosopher, or is that Sosa? Had a bit of trouble following, but looked very interesting.
And lovely picture. By the way, do you mind comments, or would you prefer your posts to be unadorned? Perhaps I should comment only if I have something worthwhile to say.
Churchill, your comments are always welcome. Thanks for asking.
Thanks very much.
Retouching may obscure the grace.
Or so I’d guess.
Indeed. But the image hanging in the shrine today is in fact retouched. As a result, Our Lady appears older and heavier than she does here.
That’s tampering with evidence, not to mention gilding the lily (or the rose). Better submit the tilma to another scientific analysis than to a restorer’s brush.
Whatever, not my problem. Guadalupe’s pretty good, but it’s gotten too mainstream. Lately, I’ve been more into the cult of Our Lady of La Vang.
It’s a really obscure apparition. You’ve probably never heard of it.
