Today in Porn, New York Edition

Omigosh, you guys, they even titled this triple-feature DROWNING IN PORN. Hoo!

An after-school conversation with girls about sex and the Internet.

After once being the best thing that ever happened to porn, the Internet is now wreaking havoc: destroying some fortunes, making bigger ones, and serving as a stimulus plan, in more ways than one.

He’s Just Not That Into Anyone – Even, and perhaps especially, when his girlfriend is acting like the women he can’t stop watching online.

UPDATE FROM THAT THIRD BIT: “Then there’s Stefan, a 43-year-old composer, who has no problem getting aroused when he has sex with his wife. ‘In order to come, though, I’ve got to resort to playing scenes in my head that I’ve seen while viewing porn. Something is lost there. I’m no longer with my wife; I’m inside my own head.’”

And there it is. Porn as the descent into self, the perfect perversion of the human communion offered by sex. My work here is finished.

Comments

  1. I heard a priest tell a crowd of young people the other day that pornography is raising a nation of little boys in big pants.

Eventually, he concluded, if you put a young boy in a man's vocation – whether that be marriage or the priesthood – it will lead to disaster.

Indeed, a quick glance at the stats will tell you: it already has been a disaster.

Something, at any rate, has got to give.

    God help us.

    JOB

    "My work here is finished."

    Promise?

(Kidding, of course. Don't ever stop being you.)

If Christians would just shut the f___ up and pay their taxes I think we can make this work. If we double the Medicare and Social Security payroll taxes we can cover the shortfall.

    I agree with Jonathan.

And coupling (or marriage) is not as important as raising children in a loving and diverse environment is the key. We need the federal government to pay for daycare and to federalize education with an emphasis on tolerance and sexual identity. Cut the military and start making friends, especially with the Islamic World.
What's wrong with pornography anyway, provided that it doesn't reinforce the wrong kind of values. JOB, the problem is that we haven't gotten far enough, we're stuck between an enlightened future of peace and harmony with Gaia, and the old ways. People have accused Mao of being brutal, but perhaps had he more time we would have seen the great fruit of revolution and sisterhood.
