  1. Woo-hoo!

  2. cubeland mystic says

    Good work November.

The sixth immortal joins the pantheon.
    I will start my prayers.

    April is the cruelest month.

  3. Major congratulations!!!

  4. I hope you aren’t planning on using that name you suggested awhile back. Help a kiddie out.

That’s such great news. Best to the wife.

  5. Matthew Lickona says

    Thanks all!

  6. Dorian Speed says

    Oh, hooray! That’s terrific!

  7. AnotherCoward says

April is a very good month, thankyouverymuch!

    Congrats!

  8. Good work — you’re halfway to the point where you can make jokes about “cheaper by the dozen”.

  9. Congratulations! All the best to the whole family.

I’ve just been re-reading the passage about one of your children’s births in Swimming with Scapulas, having been reminded about it by my husband and my preparations for our first child in six weeks or so. That was one of the most powerful parts of the book for me.

    Love,

    Emily

  10. Congrats. (Long-time lurker here).

Also, had to second Emily’s comment. When my son was being born last year, Swimming w/ Scapulars was at the forefront of my mind.

  11. Quin Finnegan says

    Congratulations!

Is it not properly “Sextus”? As in “Sextus Pompey”?

If the lascivious connotations of the first syllable trouble you, the “e” is for Excellent!

    As in, WELL DONE!

  12. From a father waiting on number five congratulations to you and your family on your latest miracle. You have been abundantly blessed.

  13. Adam DeVille says

Thank you for your splendid witness in being open to the gift of life–you do more good than you know.

  14. Congratulations indeed! Now quit putzing around and finish Sheep ‘n Goats and your cover edit. While I’m at it, where the hell is my $32?

  15. Matthew Lickona says

    Again, thanks all.

    Charles,
The check in in the mail.
    Adam,
It’s good to think that I do more good than I know!
    Anon,
    We have indeed been blessed.
    Quin,
Sextus Pompey it is. I got hung up on Pope Sixtus. See what being Catholic does to a body?
    AC,
    Yikes – Lenten birthdays!
    Mrs D.,
    Slight discount for a half-dozen?
    Emily and Steve,
Thank you kindly for remembering that passage from the little book. I’m just the humble scribe – the Wife is the powerful model there. Congrats, Steve, and prayers for a safe and happy delivery, Emily!
