You can actually get the essay on Bourbon by Percy.
It’s in his collection of essays, edited by Samway, called “Signposts in a Strange land.”
It has an essay on Abortion, as well, if memory serves.
Oh, I’ve got the essay (and the book). I’m something of a Percy completist. I’m just sorry I passed on a chance to own the original.

Do you ever feel like Mel Gibson in “Conspiracy Theory” with certain works? I can hear the husband, “But don’t you have a copy of this already?”
Of course I do but this one has…….whatever.
Oh, sure – like the “toned down” version of Brideshead that Waugh published in ’64 or so…
Every time I see one of those Pocket book editions of The Second Coming (with the gold cover), I buy it. Just because it was the first thing of his that I read. If there were twenty copies on a shelf at Powell’s, I’d probably buy them all.
