Just got word that the little book was spotted in a Borders wearing its brand new paperback binding. Many thanks to Loyola Press for giving it this second chance at life. Of course, it’s too late to order the thing for Christmas, but this being Godsbody, that’s to be expected.
I was all over book promotion on my site. I got my book for Christmas. Come on social justice crowd, buy a book help lift Matt out of poverty!
The book is a great stocking stuffer for Catholics of any age.
Bought it in hardcover for my wife when it first came out.
Now I will buy it in paperback for people whom I love less.
That’s the old Catholic spirit Andrew!
Thanks, Andrew!
I’m reading it right now. I have teenagers who, along with their friends, ask many of the exact questions that you mull over in the book. Book club is at my house in Jan. and I already told everybody we are reading My Antonia, but I’m thinking of using my “woman’s prerogative” card and changing my mind!
Laurrie
Laurrie,
Well, I certainly wouldn’t want to pit the little book against My Antonia, but I’m grateful for the thought. And My Antonia is one of those enduring classics…it’ll still be around in February…
