Why did I ever think there was merit to the notion of animating the paintings of Heironymus Bosch? I’m pretty sure this had something to do with it.

I can see the influence on your work for sure, but without the depth. Gilliam was always kind of dressed up with no place to go. These were probably not naughty enough to make the final edits.
I remember when the show was first broadcast on PBS in 1974-75, and losing all nervous system control while writhing on the floor in laughter (my brother coming in to the TV room and telling me to shut-up). Good times.
