A nod to Kierkegaard and Walker Percy: existentialist tomfoolery, political satire, literary homage, word mongering, a year-round summer reading club, Dylanesque music bits, apocalyptic marianism, poetry, fiction, meta-porn, a prisoner work-release program.

I kind of like that poster. It is for everyone. Good post. Praise Jesus.
I snickered at first, but give the Demiurge its due: The poster’s reference to the ‘Historical, Cosmic[,] & the Personal Nativity of the Heart’ *might* not be hopelessly removed from the respective Literal, Anagogical, and Moral senses of Scripture.
And speaking of alchemy, does anybody want to help develop this medieval TV series concept I cooked up? It’s about Albert the Great learning that he’s terminally ill, even as the Dominican Order is on the brink of financial collapse. In order to save the Order — or perhaps for motivations that turn out to be less clear-cut — Albert begins secretly producing gold by alchemy, with the enforced assistance of his erstwhile student, Thomas Aquinas.
The kids would dig it! I’m always shelving that anime fullmetal alchemist at the library.
The true facts of history don’t seem to matter, so let’s give you the green light on that one.
