    This raises a serious question about this word.

    By the dog who is god of Egypt, is something inedible because it cannot be consumed or because it ought not be consumed?

    In which case, you surprising man you, ought we not then to distinguish between inedible and anti-edible or even contra-edible items?

    I wonder if there are others labeled “EDIBLE” or if you can just assume the blank ones have edible stuff in them.
