A nod to Kierkegaard and Walker Percy: existentialist tomfoolery, political satire, literary homage, word mongering, a year-round summer reading club, Dylanesque music bits, apocalyptic marianism, poetry, fiction, meta-porn, a prisoner work-release program.

That’s a talented family you have, Sir.
Scary. As in, scary how well that pumpkin has been carved. What’s great about it is that w/o the Gugliotti drawing of Alphonse beside it, I think it would probably take a second for the likeness to snap into place. Visitors show up to your door and say, “Wha …?” and then, “What the hell?!?”
To which you could respond, “Precisely.”
Mom has always referred to her former fetuses as her “pumpkins”.
It isn’t exactly a Norman Rockwell moment, is it?
But moving. And that’s really quite good.
But where’s the lens flare?
JOB
Quiet, you.
It’s auditioning for J.J. Abrams’ new Star Wars.
Oh, like it has to audition.
