Please, let’s all start saving for 2015

Everyone, keep safe from murderous drifters for the next two years at least so we can ALL be in NOLA for Conference 3: Dear God, Please Let This Happen, Don’t Let Me Have Missed My Last Chance, We Can Go Even Without a Conference, Y’all, Please.

Also, we were supposed to go to that restaurant from Garden and Gun.

As appealing — even irresistible — as the idea of a plenary Kollektiv Konklave at Percy*Con 2015 is, I do see some wisdom in trying to Go Even Without a Conference.

Let’s turn our envy into fundraising! A classic American virtue response.

  3. SEP,

In fact, there is already chatter of a Pac Northwest Gerasene 14 which you would be obliged to attend – in the way that you are obliged to sign up for Obamacare, that is.

In other words, it’s not clear what the penalty will be whether you actually do it or not – but clearly there will be a penalty.

    More details forthcoming (hopefully!).

    JOB

  4. It’s true! Gerasene 14 / Korrektiv Summit XXIII will take place within the next year on Guemes Island, just off Anacortes in beautiful Washington State. Exact dates are yet to be determined, and August is probably out. Maybe September? October? July?

  5. Matthew Lickona says:

    They have yurts!
    Is this a kid-friendly Gerasene, or adults-only?

    • Quin Finnegan says:

      Defnitely kid-friendly.

Talked to the parents about it this morning, and am tentatively setting dates for July 17th through the 20th. With the help of the neighbors, we should be able to come up with whatever bunk space we need. So hopefully we can do without the yurts. More money for food and drink!

The place is just few hundred feet from Puget Sound, so the kids will need watching out for near the water, but yeah, I say, bring ’em.

Let me know if that’s a good time. The seniors are going off to St. Petersburg for a few week, and that would give us a little more elbow room.
