A nod to Kierkegaard and Walker Percy: existentialist tomfoolery, political satire, literary homage, word mongering, a year-round summer reading club, Dylanesque music bits, apocalyptic marianism, poetry, fiction, meta-porn, a prisoner work-release program.

I can’t speak for your reader, but I’m glad you posted this.
Made me want to re-watch this one, from 2004, but I can’t find it on YouTube. Anyone have it on VHS?
Mr Lickona: Presumably Mr Arroyo got a twofer while he was in SoCal. Has EWTN said when they’ll run your interview?
You wanna give that knife a twist while it’s in there? You know, just so I don’t forget?
I have a lovely letter from Mr. Koontz. He’s a fine fellow. I look forward to watching this.
Lickona is too edgy for Arroyo. Matthew is more Murrow or Wallace territory.
Still working my way up toward Colbert.
My money’s on you to win the Catholic Throwdown, actually.
Has Lynn Barber retired?
Frost/Lickona
Or he could interview himself, maybe for Esquire.
Okay, this one is my own fault, but damn if you didn’t see a hole and drive a Mack truck through it.
Dude, that thing is an hour long. I don’t have time to watch that at work!
Yeah, a bit long. Some good stuff about the writing process. It looks like the guy actually writes his own stuff, some of which I’ve really enjoyed (especially the Odd Thomas books). He is actually a more extraordinary person than he is a writer.
Tell them it’s research.
Seriously, this is lowbrow s—. &*^% this. Whatever happened to Modernist snobbery? Lickona is better than Koontz!!
Though… he does have an interesting way to approach writing. Giving way to his characters… Very interesting.
He also has a cool desk.
