A nod to Kierkegaard and Walker Percy: existentialist tomfoolery, political satire, literary homage, word mongering, a year-round summer reading club, Dylanesque music bits, apocalyptic marianism, poetry, fiction, meta-porn, a prisoner work-release program.

“Filthy” is a word to describe pitchers who’s stuff makes hitters look foolish. I’ve also heard that good pitchers HATE batters while they’re pitching. Felix is an incredible competitor. Last week he started a game with a five run lead and lost. The game before that he won a 1-0 game in Yankee Stadium. Go figure. He began his career as a power pitcher with some additional pitches. If anything, his velocity had decreased and the out pitch is now the change-up. On the last batter of the game (imagine the pressure) he was down 2-0 on the count and threw a slider, a very risky pitch in that situation. That hitter took the bait and missed. Amazing!
Actually, the batter watched strike one. Webb!
Great video. Some great fielding in support of the king, too. We should go next time he pitches and have a bunch of large format Korrektiv Ks to hold up.
A capital idea!
You mean, a Kapital idea, right?
JOB
That’s right JOB…I mean comrade.
Good idea, as long as ‘a bunch’ means ‘any number other than three’.
Angelico, in your rush to make sport of us you failed to take into consideration the possibility that Potter and I long ago built a device to hold muliple letters at a ballgame.
Korrektiv night at Safeco Field. The first 5000 in the door get a free copy of “Wiped Out: The Great Seattle Fire of 1889.”
The letter-holding device is a fine idea — so long as ‘multiple letters’ means ‘any number other than three’.
To be clear, Big Jon: I’m not out to mock and jape at my elders and betters; to the contrary, I am trying to protect the Korrektiv’s reputation, lest anyone mistake it for a certain Klub that doesn’t Kotton to Katholics.
