“I went to a school with no grades”

I feel like this could have been funnier if they’d taken me up on the suggestions I posted to my Tumblr.

  1. Angelico Nguyen, Esq., OP says:

As Father Kev Kevin reminded me yesterday at Reconciliation: I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.

Thanks for the affirmation, Southern Expat!

  2. Churchill says:

The posts are more and more irritating and right wing. Either somebody else is reading or you want me to think they are.

  3. This clip is actually from an American program called “Saturday Night Live.” As to whether anyone is watching, I can’t speak to that.

  4. MrsDarwin says:

I’m watching. And I almost think I love Daniel Radcliffe. I’m off to soak my head in cold water.

  5. Angelico Nguyen, Esq., OP says:

Subject 1 reports responding to photographs (specifically: photographs of ‘posh’ males ‘in suits and boots’).

Subject 2 reports responding to comments, photographs, and now, to videos (specifically: a video of actor Daniel Radcliffe performing Chinese calligraphy and Irish dance).

    Fascinating.

  6. Subject 1 says:

I believe it’s high time for a Kollektiv Album. The world needs more singer song-writers, after all.

    • Matthew Lickona says:

The studio in Carlsbad awaits. I’ve got a track list and everything. But we’re going to need you to come out here. Cat, too, I think. I’ve been setting The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock to a pop tune reminiscent of The Primitives’ “Crash.” I think she’d sound good on it.

  7. Subject 2 says:

I concur with all. Post a link to The Primitives so we can get the tune in our kollectiv head.

    • Subject 1 says:

God help us, Subject 2, we have some serious road tripping in our future.

      • Matthew Lickona says:

Wisconsin ain’t that far. But yeah, Carlsbad is a drive. It’s not quite exactly the same as Crash, mind you, but the vocal style is similar…so. Listen to the way she says, “Here you go, way too fast,” and think “Let us go then, you and I…”
