Zach Galifianakis is wearing a wine hat. That is all.
A nod to Kierkegaard and Walker Percy: existentialist tomfoolery, political satire, literary homage, word mongering, a year-round summer reading club, Dylanesque music bits, apocalyptic marianism, poetry, fiction, meta-porn, a prisoner work-release program.

My husband and I are in complete disagreement as to the funniness of Zach Galifianakis. I think the trailer for the new Robert Downey Jr. road movie is hilarious, and he only laughed at the part where they drive into the ditch on purpose.
Fortunately, we both like early Steve Martin.
Like Steve Martin, his stand-up is groundbreaking and amazing. He is in danger of becoming a stock character – "guy who says uncomfortable things and is socially awkward" after the monster success of The Hangover. But he's built up a lot of good will.
Really? He didn't laugh at "My dad would never do that. He loved me"? He's a tough nut.
He's not a fan of what we have decided to call "random humor." This also includes Andy Samberg and most other SNL sketches. Some day I am going to post the Venn diagram we have come up with to depict our differing senses of humor.
I actually haven't even seen "The Hangover" and am mainly familiar with him from his SNL appearance. Which I'm sure was compromised to appeal to Middle America.
Matthew,
He seems to have a drinking problem…
Like Robert Hays in Airplane.
JOB
You know, it looks more to me like a pouring problem, but then you miss out on a nice little movie quote.
Well, if you don't pour properly, you don't get to drink quite as much, and that's a problem.
If I were not pseudonymous, I would suggest that we all photograph ourselves with similar get-ups (mine would probably involve Oreos) for an Official Korrektiv Team Photo Pastiche.
You know, as part of the PR campaign.
"I never could drink that blood and call it wine …"
Mine, Vodka.
JOB
Seppy,
But that's exactly how the joke works in Airplane….
Hays making a mess of his scotch on the rocks…
I used to have a khaki shirt like the one he wears in that movie, too.
