How You Found Korrektiv

At 9:47:20 pm tonight 74.130.131 of Louisville, Kentucky asked Google “was kierkegaard a calvinist?” Since Korrektiv.org is Google’s #1 place to go (primary reference, top dog, king of the hill – call it what you want) for everything concerning the relationship between Kierkegaard and Calvinism, our humble site was quickly brought to his attention. And what did 74.130.131 find? This post from February 15, 2008, detailing what seems to have been a conversation between Rufus and a friend over beer and pretzels.

I’m not sure how much helpful information he found on aesthetic damnation or Calvin’s case for double-predestination, but he would have at least learned something about Port Arthur Hot Chinese Mustard and how it comes in powder form.

And in the larger scheme of things, which is really more important? Thanks for visiting, 74.130.131 from Louisville, Kentucky, and Vielicht das nechster zeit!

Quin, this is big time stuff.

Seriously, I wish we had a better answer to his query.

You're right, it is big time stuff.

I just thought it was kind of funny when I put it up last night – I was just happy to see that someone sought us out for something other than information about attached earlobes. So I thought I'd turn it into a self-deprecating look at Rufus' original self-deprecating post by linking to one of those site meter references (don't know about you guys, but I find all that data fascinating), and then this morning I saw the follow-up post and wondered if Rufus was trying to cover our asses. His, mostly!

But it really is a huge question. And since we've been on the web for a number of years now linking to all and sundry on important as well as not-so-important matters, it's difficult to say what exactly our world wide Webb.ed footprint is. It's like the Judgment – one never knows exactly how one is going to be held accountable, except that we will be, and for everything.

    I'm in trouble now!
