The Redeemed Tour Rolls On

Heather King’s memoir of metanoia Redeemed continues to attract attention: Jeff Gardner at Catholic Radio International has an interview with the author up at the station’s Heart of the Matter program. Go thou and listen.

(And there’s more! Dappled Things EIC Katy Carl gives it a warm review as well, and interviews King to boot.)

Thanks for the review. I read Redeemed last year, and I should re-read it.

I don’t know if you’ve gotten this from hundreds of others already, and it embarrasses you, but I thought you might like to know that Swimming with Scapulars was one of the books that pushed my husband and me into joining the Catholic Church at Vigil Mass, 2007.

Thank you, from both of us.

  2. Matthew Lickona says

Good heavens – no, Lissia, I haven’t gotten that from hundreds of others already. But I am deeply humbled and honored to hear it. You’re most welcome, and welcome in!

Well, Matthew, your book didn’t push me into joining the Church because I was already baptized and confirmed, but it certainly made me consider the idea of orthodoxy for the very first time. Maybe there aren’t hundreds of us out there, but we’re here and we think you should know about it.

  4. Matthew,

…and it certainly made me rethink Wild Turkey, if not scapulars…
