Post and Ye Shall Receive

A week or so ago I mentioned that I was feeling a little adrift, if not bereft, because I’d seen so little of Mark Steyn’s work lately. No sooner do I post this than Steyn’s posts in the Corner become something more than occasional and a new article pops up in the Orange County Registerr. I’m sure the connection is spurious … but it is great to see the Great Steyn letting the sails out again.

With respect to the current political season and by way of appreciation, here’s a brief survey of recent posts:

A sinking ship gathers no Ross
Overwhelming the System
ACORN Epidemic
Rotten Boroughs
Plumbers of America, unite!
“A cold civil war”
Must try harder
And he’s back as the Happy Warrior!

Now that I’ve gone to all this trouble, I’m reasonbly certain that no one, or just about no one, is going to read these posts. Or even this post. Such is life.

UPDATE: Sorry, Anonymous. I accidentally hit the “Save Now” button instead of “Publish Post” after single-spacing the headlines above. I’m travelling this weekend, and in my haste I didn’t catch it until just now. I’ve tried to make up for it by including a few more great posts:

Re: Switch to decaf In which Mr. Steyn makes a desperate attempt to keep “the great right-wing pundit war” going.

Cocoon: The Return Including this great comment from one of my other favorite Canucks, David Warren: “It’s when you no longer know where your milk comes from, let alone where you got your opinions, that you have become over-urbanized.”

And you know you’re in Steynastan when you see a title like this:
Plumber Joe Didn’t Go With the Flow

  1. So God finally intervenes to bring us back Mark Steyn.

He was funny when he was writing about television for the London Standard a couple of decades ago. But he got more and more right wing and, eventually, a little mad.
