This song doesn’t dovetail with Mark Steyn’s Song of the Week quite so well as Pennies From Heaven, but I heard it for the first time the other day and had to throw it up … er, post it here. When I first heard it I was driving, and I couldn’t believe my ears: what Talking Heads album could this possibly be on? More Songs About Buildings and Food? No… Remain in Light? No… One of the solo albums … My Life in the Bush of Ghosts? … No again! It’s a brand new song! From a brand new album!

And it is so very, very good. Really, I think it’s as good as anything on the albums mentioned above … beautiful to my ears. How is it that I was better informed about these things then when I was drunk four days in seven?

Beautiful to my ears
Yes, the eighties are about to happen all over again!

There’s a great new Pretenders song on the radio these days, too. I mean really outstanding. I was never much of a Cure fan, but I think they have some fresh new stuff out, too.

  2. What happened to the post about Mark Steyn?
