Phoenix? In June?

Looks that way.

What’s he got against his home state?

is he coming here at all? this might necessitate a get together, babysitters, and some blantons (not sure if i am spelling that right.) anyway, good bourbon. if he comes anywhere to southern cal we need to plan this.

  2. Matthew Lickona says

Nope. It looks like Phoenix is as close as he comes. But y’all should come down and drink bourbon anyway.

  3. Cubeland Mystic says

The west wing of the hovel is available, for 4 additional hours of driving. Just saying.

get ready, cube (and mrs. mystic) for 4 adults (who are not much better than children) and 9 children, see if she’ll let me bring the dogs too…cuz we’re coming!;-)
i’m only half kidding, because that could be really fun.
    (i wouldn’t bring the dogs…..).mcm

Yeah, no DC, no Philly, no NYC, not even Bawlmer. But Columbus Ohio?!?

  6. I’m hopping on the train to St. Louis – drop my eldest daughter at the convent down there (just for a visit) and heading across the street to hear Tom belt, bet and belch.

    ….I wish.

  7. The irony for me is, I used to think Waits was kind of cool, till Waits-fan Lickona ruined him for me by playing an old recording of him singing in a normal tone of voice. From then on, I’ve felt a little manipulated by the gravelly-voice shtick. Am I the only one who feels that way? I’m Cubester thinks it’s another example of my vitriolic temperament bubbling under the surface.
