Caroline Coleman O’Neill’s new theo-philosophical-historical romance novel Loving Søren may be getting a big boost, according to insider sources close to Oprah Winfrey. The host of the top-rated, award-winning Oprah Winfrey Show and facilitator of the most influential book club the literary world has ever known (followed closely by the Korrektiv Summer Reading Klub) is said to have finished about two thirds of the novel and has it sitting on her nightstand. (Yes, the insider source has actually seen it sitting there on Oprah’s nightstand. So when we say “insider” we really mean “insider”.) “She’s really enjoying it,” the insider source said.
Anticipating a run on the works of Søren Kierkegaard that would inevitably follow in the wake of Loving Søren entering the ranks of the Oprah canon, a spokesperson for Princeton University Press has announced tentative plans to begin releasing special Oprah editions of all of the major titles in their Kierkegaard’s Writings series.
