A nod to Kierkegaard and Walker Percy: existentialist tomfoolery, political satire, literary homage, word mongering, a year-round summer reading club, Dylanesque music bits, apocalyptic marianism, poetry, fiction, meta-porn, a prisoner work-release program.

If you did not blog and I did not blog, then we would not know each other at all, and I would be the poorer for it. It is through our blogs that we know each other, and while it is a most imperfect form of knowing, to the extent that we do know and enjoy one another, it is a good thing. There is much more than could be said (and I said a bunch of it in a letter to FT), but I think this will suffice for Christmas Eve. Merry, merry.
Thanks Matthew. Well said. And well met. Wonderful connections do happen among the blogs and I’m thankful for that, too. I should also fess up that I found this New Pantagruel Japery piece as I was clicking through your blogroll during a bout of holiday insomnia early this morning. More good stuff there.
